Before we said farewell to Georgetown, we sighted a Painted Bunting and a flock of Cedar Waxwings on the Booty River Trail. We also met Emilio, a falconer at the campground who works with his pair of Harris hawks and 4 Dachshunds. That was very cool to be up close and personal with Neo (the male hawk).
Our journey to the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas was easy and full of grace. Playing with Sara, Oliver, and Simon was great fun. Oliver is quite the bowler and Simon loves laser tag. On SPI, we sighted several more buntings and many varieties of warblers.
Today we pulled into Magnolia Beach Tx, another family favorite location, for a couple of days rest before heading further east. Blessings abound.
