    Bittersweet Remembrances

We arrived at Cedar Breaks campground late yesterday evening. It was rainy and cool. We got ourselves situated in our campsite and settled in for the night. This morning, we awoke to a misty / foggy day and went for a hike…avoiding the swimming hole where our beloved dog, Jackson, loved to swim. This was his favorite campground.
By the afternoon, the day had cleared and the weather warmed. We had no more excuses…so we went to the swimming hole. The water level was much higher than the last time we were here with Jackson. His presence is strong here and our hearts are full of remembrances. Love truly never dies. Gone from this realm but never forgotten.

  • Joyful Sounds (rain)

We woke up this morning to the sounds of rain on Gracie’s roof. Feeling warm and cozy, we snuggled back under the covers to enjoy the sounds. A mockingbird serenaded us as well. RV travel provides wonderful opportunities to experience parts of nature that I might otherwise think of as a “problem” when it interfered with my plans for the day. Today, we’re taking it slow and enjoying the sights and sounds. Happy travels, enjoy the sounds of nature.

All Fueled up and Ready to Ride

One of our favorite places to stop for food and gas is Buccee’s. We get our steps in walking the store and enjoy visiting with other customers. This Buccee’s is in Amarillo TX.
